At our next Big table Sunday we will be welcoming our new Bishop, Mike Stewart. When a bishop visits a church it is an opportunity to confirm and reaffirm our baptisms. In fact, Eli Wilton and Savannah Withrow have decided to confirm their baptisms while the bishop is here.

We will also plan to have space to reaffirm your baptism. As Anna shared at the last Big Table, it is an ongoing practice to live into and reaffirm our baptisms. For some of us, we may want to reaffirm our baptisms when we’ve been away from the church community for a season, or felt like we’ve been walking away from the Lord and have made or are ready to make an intentional decision to come back.

During the gathering at our next Big Table (May 26) we will plan to have space to invite anyone to come up to reaffirm their baptism. Traditionally, the bishop marks the reaffirmed with oil on their foreheads. If you think this is something you are ready to do you can let Pastor Andy know ahead of time (andy@tablechurch.ca) or you can simply respond to the invitation when it is given.

Join us for a potluck supper at 4:00pm in the Hall. The potluck theme this week is Finger Foods and Appetizers. Please bring your favourite finger foods or small bites to share!

• Some ideas are: fresh fruits and veggies with dip, sandwiches or tortilla pinwheels, chips, crostini with brie or spinach dip, devilled eggs, pigs in a blanket, sweet or savoury tarts, or your favourite bake-and-share appetizers!

Worship Service at 5:00pm in the Sanctuary, with programming for all ages.
